The primary tannery, established in 1994 under the name Ram Leathers, the mother company paved the way for BBK Group. Under the leadership of Mr Baskaran, the BBK leather group has been successfully established. We have the license to process tanned leather to finished leather. The wet blues are sourced from different parts of the world. We specialize in waterproof leather and chrome-free tannages. Our strength lies in our ability to produce a variety of articles that adhere to our high standards of quality. With innovation and quality being our key motivators, we ensure that all our finished products are under the purview of these two factors. Our current monthly capacity is 50,000 sq. mt.
Bharath Enterprises, the second tannery established in 2014 in Ranipet, Chennai, is licenced from beam house to finishing. Waterless chrome tanning and hydro leathers are specialities. The monthly capacity is currently 100,000 sq. mt.
Both tanneries have LWG Gold certification and are ISO 9001: ISO 14001:, and SA 8000 compliant.
We take pride in our passion for creating quality leather goods and wanted to expand our horizons. Bharath Enterprises, a PU transfer coating plant was next established in 2016 in Ranipet, Chennai. We’re committed to producing, upgrading, and finishing leather, microfibre and fabrics through state-of-the-art transfer coating technology. Our in-house laboratory is backed by a parent lab in Italy which enables us to generate a myriad of diverse textures and finishes.
We are proud to state that we are India’s 1st and only water-based transfer coating plant with HMPUR adhesion system. We are also currently working on a high Bio Content PU coated leather and fabrics. The monthly capacity is currently 1.5 million sq. mt or 70,000 LM per month.
